He has learnt from a number of teachers, such as Ustad Mian Shaukat Hussain, Ustad Faiyaz Khan and Ustad Alla Rakha. Ustad Shahbaz's mission as an artist and a student of tabla is to keep the culture of classical Indian music alive through future generations.
